Topic: Digital Tools Play & Learn

Welcome to #elmusedchat. Please introduce yourself & share a digital tool you feel skilled with (or more skilled with after a few weeks of remote learning).

We will follow the Q1/A1 format for this chat, but we will have 4 digital tools to explore for each question, with 12 minutes between each to allow for exploration of the digital tool. Don’t forget to include the #elmusedchat hashtag and feel free to post images, videos, audio files, etc. from your exploration of each tool!

Q1: This Kandinsky tool is more than meets the eye: https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/kandinsky/
Draw different shapes, colors, place them high & low – what elements can students explore through this tool? What are some ways you can guide students to create? #elmusedchat

Q2: Explore https://www.onemotion.com/drum-machine/ or https://www.onemotion.com/chord-player/ Which did you choose? What elements can students explore through this tool? What are some ways you can guide them to create? #elmusedchat

Q3: Click and drag to create your own music in Beepbox here: https://beepbox.co. Play around with scale, rhythm, and type. What elements can students explore through this tool? What are some ways you can guide them to create? #elmusedchat

Q4: Choice tool – https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/Song-Maker/,
https://www.incredibox.com, https://apps.musedlab.org/groovepizza/?museid=4QJCF6uqE&, or other. Which did you choose? What elements can students explore through this tool? What are some ways you can guide them to create?
